The project is created for the older generation of Iowans. In addition, the project is centered around the importance of family and animals on one’s mental health. Through researching, we learned that Iowa’s older population is growing. We learned the importance of why seniors should live in CCRCs for both the users and their family members. We also learned the benefits of having pets and how they can help with a person’s health. Our research also brought us to the psychological characteristics and needs of the elderly.
